if UCF lost this week -- and we win again this week

i'd still rank UCF ahead

UCF has a bye this week... but I agree. Even a USF win may not be enough for me to move USF ahead either.

Good call. Prolly shouldve said next game they will lose. And i can see ur point about ranking ucf ahead if there were a Power Ranking system in place.

My basis is simple: win and look good doing it. Ucf may have lost pretty (penn state isnt that good) and we may have won ugly, but a win > a loss for me.

Im sure my point will be moot by conference play anyway

My Week 1 AAC rankings...

1 - Cincinnati

2 - East Carolina

3 - Central Florida

4 - Temple

5 - Memphis

6 - Houston

7 - South Florida

8 - Uconn

9 - Southern Methodist

10 - Tulsa

11 - Tulane

After Temple it got really hard to rank. The bottom half looked terrible this week. Not a good start for the AAC.

I'd have to put USF ahead of UCF if we get past Maryland this week. But it wouldn't be by much (depending on the amount of the win).

The green and gold glasses are THICK on this thread!  UCF and Cincy are FAR and AWAY the class of the AAC (it may be fair to throw Temple in there too, but they aren't quite there just because they beat Vandy).  I know that you all hate UCF but at least be honest when you post.  I totally respect the USF fans that are being real.  Good luck against the Terps.

UCF is the stonger team

I'm glad our I-4 game wasn't a season opener, a la Tulane v Tulsa

CBuc is right on if the game was played today. Hopefully come November, we'll have figured out our QB situation. UCF appears to have figured out their situation pretty quickly. Their QB looked good IMO.

I don't think you can ignore ECU either.  And I'm not saying UCF isn't the better team.  But, right now, we are ahead of you, just based on win-loss record.  And I can go on and on about how your best team ever beat our worst team ever by 3 points and needed a timely INT to prevent a tie or loss.  But that was last year.  Neither of us know what our teams are made of yet.
