Hoping to see these young men have break out seasons. @SleeperAthletes: Congrats to #USF for nabbing one of my #SpringSleepers! #Flanagan HS (FL) OL Cameron Campbell (@Cameron64_) @CoachTaggart @CoachMathies Edited July 30, 2014 by Hem

"I was up at USF for a camp last weekend and I like the direction that the program is heading in," Campbell said. "The coaching staff is great and even better, USF's in-state and not too far from my family, so they can come watch my games." The 6-foot-3, 270-pound Flanagan standout is a well-rounded offensive lineman with the athletic ability to pull out and pick up assignments out on the edge. But at the same time, Campbell possesses that physical, hard-nosed brand of football that will fit perfectly into Paul Wulff's trenches. "I'm being recruited as a center," Campbell said. "I like to think of myself as an athletic offensive linemen, not the typical, sloppy linemen. I would say pass blocking is a strength of mine, even though I enjoy the contact of run blocking. "I've mostly been talking to coach Wulff, but I plan on speaking with another one of the coaches who is recruiting my area tonight. Coach Wulff consistently says he sees something in me and sees a lot of potential. He said I'm a diamond in the rough, but the bond (between us) is growing quickly." Campbell is Willie Taggart's sixth verbal commitment of the 2015 recruiting class, and the initial offensive lineman to take his talents to Tampa Bay. Howard University also chipped in with a scholarship offer for the rising senior, while Florida International and Alcorn State were in the process of evaluating him and expressed interest. http://southflorida.scout.com/story/1427929-a-diamond-in-the-rough-ol-is-a-bull?s=359 Edited July 30, 2014 by Hem

We beat out Howard! Stole him before Alcorn St & FIU could snag him. Kidding...it's early, and there is plenty of talent out there overlooked by the bigger schools chasing the bigger names. Hoping these guys pan out.

He finishes his assignments in his hudl tape and he looks pretty good in open space blocking. You could stick em outside at te if he doesn't develop in a couple of years. This year he is filling some slots of need early with "sleepers". Our roster has 1 true Center, Reiter. One of our LS behind him weighs #165. A Wisky lineman might pick him up and throw him at the K. I see us looking for a JUCO C as well. Plenty of time and room left for some blue chip guys who pull the trigger later. It's still Early.
