At the risk of getting back on topic, here's a recent article.  Mentions many suitors, but USF not cited.  Doesn't mean we're not after him, as I'd think we'd find a way to make room for a national scoring leader.

I mean, scoring machines are always a plus, but our back-court is already looking a little crowded. Kimari Murphy is a little more intriguing when it comes to need, fit, and potential I think. Not that I know if we could make room for ANY other player.

True, but Mason is available for 2014, while the 2 other guards aren't available till 2015.

or from possibly losing another...tho' it seems the mass exodus is over.  Since we've seen nothing on Mason elsewhere, and he's getting attention from the biggest programs, its likely we're not even in his head.

Anybody surprised that we're "out" of scholarships?

 

I thought for sure we'd have at least two empty roster spots going into next year.

 

And you know how hard it is to get good centers at the last minute? Very impressive, what the coaching staff did.

I'm surprised he filled them with what appears to be quality gets.  Would have been easy to grab what you can quickly, but he seemed selective and filled up nicely.
