... He wasn't yet in classes, so he can hop to Auburn with no penalty. He loses nothing and #USF gets another scholarship slot.

The best thing Coach O did was get Canty and Peters. Canty is the more proven of the two and now he is gone. I was looking forward to next year.

Didn't think Canty was eligible to play next year.

I wonder if things were said behind closed doors that made Canty want to leave in order to open up a scholarship for Murphy or another player.

Sounds like the same type situation as Morillo, signed f-a agreement with Ohio University but never enrolled ... just Canty had a lot shorter turnaround time. Morillo can play this year because he originally came from a 2 year college.

This is probably what's up. After being tired in the workouts (evidenced by his tweey), I'm guessing he and Coach had a heart-2-heart.

 

I was wondering why we were seriously entertaining Murphy without an available schollie - likely this was the one.

 

Now, all we have to do is hope UM doesn't impress Murphy.

I think Coach was thrilled to get Peters and now we need another quality big. Canty seems like he wants to play and be the main guy...can't blame him for that.

Who knows though. Seems crazy to me that so many of these guys move around and lose a whole year.
