If not Bortles, who would it be?

Good God you are a hater.

Jaguars QB Blake Bortles finishes preseason 32-of-51 passing for 521 yards, with 2 TDs and no INTs

Gator fans used to tell me that Tebow would be a great NFL QB.  Bortles has a better chance than Tebow, but that's not saying much.

Wasn't Mattie Grothe supposed to be a good NFL, I mean Arena League, I mean CFL, I mean Swiss semi-pro league QB?

Mettenberger and Garrapolo have thrown for more yards.

Garrapolo, Bridgewater and Carr have at least twice as many TDs.

Bridewater has a higher QB rating.

All should be in the running for "most impressive".

But given Carr's play and the overall stinkiness of the Raiders, I'd probably give him the nod.

I'd say Bortles, only because Jax is easily shittier than Minnesota, NE, and Tennessee and at least as bad as Oakland, but probably worse. Mettenberger and Garropolo might have the edge in yards, but its on about 20-25 more attempts. Bortles is the only one of that group without a turnover (or in Carr's case, multiple turnovers). Bridgewater has done a solid job, he's about the only one of the group I'd consider over Bortles.

No, there was never any real NFL talk surrounding him. A lot of your post are just to stir up drama- it's getting old.

As for Bortles...He will never see the playoffs.

Not true.  He can see them on TV just like the rest of us.

Virtually the same playing time, Bridgewater is currently thumping Bortles in regular season action.  The Great Blake has 4 ints in six quarters of play.  I guess he isn't the most impressive rookie anymore.

I hate to say I told you that Bridgewater was much more ready than Bortles, but I did.  Actually, I didn't hate saying that.

So you equate the Chargers Defense as an equal opponent to the Falcons Defense? One game seems to be a little hasty, but let's see how this plays out.

I wish Teddy well, he seems like a genuinly good person.

Congrats on winning an argument with yourself?

How does what Bridgewater and Bortles have done in the regular season change what they did in the preseason?
