Didn't we see some 3-4 looks last year? I seem to remember Lynch playing some as a fourth linebacker.

Not necessarily a perfect comparison, since it's NFL to college, but when he was with the Cowboys, Jay Ratliff excelled as the NT in the 3-4 and played regularly at 290-300 because he had a high motor. Not saying Chandler and Co. will have the same success, but with a high enough motor, anything is possible

With the terrible meal plan, he was forced to stand up...his weakened hand didn't have the strength to hold his incredibly swollen head. Also his trademark "garbage time salute" was much more visible coming off the line.

You are correct.

As far as NT size, weight is overrated. Ratliff was mentioned above. Broderick Bunkley is one of the better NTs and he's 305 or so. It's about push/eating blocks. Fat slobs aren't the only ones who can do it.

He was always able to muster just enough energy to exuberantly celebrate those sacks he got while the team was down 20+ points, despite the terrible meal plan, swollen head, and weakened hand. A monument to selflessness--I tell you! :D Regarding the 3-4 scheme that Coach Bresnahan seems to be toying with, I can only say, "Just. Win."

The meal plan is concerning.  After hearing Shabazz Napier saying he used to go to bed hungry some nights. Any ex scholarship players on here that can attest to this lack of food? Or is not adhearing to the eating times allotted?

There is always plenty of food available if you go during cafeteria hours.

Now, whether you consider it tasty or not, is something completely different...

I think I remember Coach Bres saying base package will still be 4-3. However, due to depth at the line they will switch it to 3-4 sometimes.

so in other words play mostly 4-3 but instead of switching out the tackles and ends with fresh players move to 3-4 for few plays to give the linemen a rest. I recall seeing more and more pro 4-3 teams doing the same thing from time to time.
