Speculation on MBB Coach Budget

So, what do you think USF's budget is for the impending hire of a new MBB Coach? This thread should be fun to look at after the hire is made so we can see how much the fans expectations differ from the athletic department.

I think the administration and board know what a pivotal hire this is for USF and they open up the purse strings with a ceiling of 2mil/yr.

Stan Heath made like 1.2 Million a season. No chance we're going to be able to afford 1.75. 1.2 million or less a season.

Agree about the laddering, but I think it starts around 2.1 and goes up from there.

What happens if/when we need to replace Taggart? He's only making $1.15m per year. Could we afford to attract a quality football coach if the basketball coach is making nearly $2m?

I would think that if we're having 9-10 win seasons and making good bowls we'll be fine since ticket sales will be strong.
