I am sure you will say this when USF goes 23-9, 4-3 against ranked opponents, 15-1 at home and doesn't get invited to NCAAT. I'm sure in 2012 you said the same thing when USF went 19-12.

Reality bites.

 

According to the committee, we hardly even qualify as a mid-major anymore.

 

Our lower 5 really dragged down the SOS and quality wins of the upper 5. So much so that UofL only got a 4-seed.

 

It's not enough to have good teams at the top, you need good teams at the bottom to challenge those top teams.

 

But, more than anything else, you need "perception"  - and that mainly comes from quality OOC wins. I hope our new coach brings us a bunch of 'em, and quickly.

We need the 4 tyeams that made it to play very well in the Tourney. More so UConn, Memphis, (which could beat a number 1 seed) and Cincy.

Unfortunately, 3/4 AAC teams are in the East Region so there's not a whole lot of room for all the teams to shine, but I think all 4 have a legit shot at getting to the sweet 16.

I actually have 2 in my final 4. I picked Zona, UF, Cincy, and Louisville in my Final 4. With Zona and UF in the Natl Title game. As much as I hate to admit it I have UF winning it all.

Tulsa also is in the tourney so we have a good bball team coming in and should have a good core of teams with cincy, memphis, uconn, smu, temple(will get better), and dear I say USF if we get a half descent coach... I'd put us up against any league but the ACC and the Big 10...

There's a good thread around here somewhere about us being not only a major conference but also a power conference (in basketball).
