Judy Genshaft’s Culpability for the last several years

Not sure where all the talk about Doug choosing his heir apparent is coming from. In a discussion with one one of the Assoc ADs the topic came up and it did not sound like he was necessarily choosing an AD In Waiting.

Judy doesn't haven't much culpability when it comes to performance on the field. The only thing Judy needs to be worrying about from an athletics standpoint is to continue to navigate USF through conference realignment and to ensure there aren't any major scandals. Other than that, her focus needs to be on running an academic university.

She has an AD to handle everything else.

If the AD isn't getting the job done, it's her job to coach them up or replace them. I think we can all agree on that.

 

Where unreasonable people will disagree is what does it mean for a USF AD to "get the job done"

 

Some will be satisfied with nothing less than NC's in both major sports, others with simply being competitive with peers, others with simply competing without cheating or scandals.

 

If everyone were to make clear their expectations for Doug, it might make for an interesting discussion on how he (and by extensions Judy) is or is not meeting them.
