Maybe the AAC is not a bad conference after all...

You gotta imagine that Houston will be in the top 25 along with Louisville and UCF...

We have a few weaklings, but this COULD be a legit conference moving forward.....

Louisville is leaving so we will take their place in the top 25 to rep the AAC in the future.

With O'korn, White, and Bortles returning next year, this conference actually will be fun to watch next year too.

These O'korn vs. White battles will be fun to watch for the next few years.... And Tyler Harris could be big for SMU.

Not to mention that ECU and Tulane look very good as well.  To me it just seems like USF,UCF,ECU,Houston,Cincy,Tulane, and SMU will be pretty strong going forward, while UConn, Memphis,Temple, and Tulsa are all going to drag the conference down.  It will be cool in 2 years when Navy joins as well

Reality is, though, is those 3 top 25 teams (if Houston makes it) have only 2 ooc wins over FBS teams ... a pretty bad Kentucky team and a so-so PSU. Not much there to really crow about ...

Houston had no AP votes last year, and barely getting by 2-5 USF won't help.  UCF will likely batter them before they can back in.

Also, I wonder if Bortles leaves early.  He's getting a lot of attention as an NFL caliber QB.  My guess is he stays his senior year, out of loyalty & because he's not likely a high round pick.  But, that could change if he is estimated to be higher.

This wouldn't be a terrible conference to be in, IF the TV money were equivalent to a P5 conference.

dont need any encouragement but thank you for the marvelous intro

with each passing year aac's recruiting classes will get weaker and weaker

we dont have a seat at the big table so who cares how many top 25 teams we have?

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
