Speaking of OCS, does anyone out there think USF should have one?

Just buy University mall for pennies on the dollar, level it and put up a stadium with a pretty decent parking lot already there. Not quite on campus but pretty close.

 

UH doesn't even have a stable alternate site, they're moving around from game to game. At least our basketball team was always at the Forum while the Sun Dome was renovated.

 

 

Sure!  As soon as you write a check for the cost of the land acquisition, demolition, and construction.  Don't forget their are several property owners on that site.  I know one or two of the anchor stores actually own their part of the mall.

Actually, just about every UH home game was at Reliant.  There was only one they had to play at the Dynamo soccer stadium & one at Rice Stadium.

 

Its the side effects of rebuilding your own stadium.

Because we are a huge opponent to them, we are like the New York Yankees, they didn't think their OCS could hold enough fans for the game.

They don't have an OCS this season. They leveled it after last season and are building a new one right now.

Interesting to me how if one of our fans had these as the "highlights" explaining our home attendance, this board would probably skewer said poster.

 

cuz-- you know-- all our games are at an NFL stadium off campus (never had an OCS for fball)

 

just saying-- don't care about crowds personally

 

 

 

You never had an OCS so your fans not only don't know any better, but also don't know how much of an impact it can have on attendance.

We should start with maybe taking a Google map image of campus and dropping in a preexisting stadium (the old Orange Bowl would work) so that we can get an accurate gauge of how it would fit. After that, we should get a thread going where everyone lists the names of smaller stadiums they like better than UCF's.
