After his first victory at USF, Taggart said he was contacted Saturday night by his mentor, San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh. “He basically said he was proud, he was happy, keep working and it’s the start of many to come,’’ Taggart said. “He also reminded me that winning can beget softness, too, so make sure we continue to work hard and win with humble hearts.’’ - See more at: http://tbo.com/sports/colleges/usf-bulls/usf-notes-qb-bench-questionable-against-uconn-20131007/#sthash.jFoUGLei.dpuf

Pretty cool.  Wonder if Jim Harbaugh will stop by the USF campus when the 49ers come to Tampa in December.  I am sure the players and staff would really get a kick out of that.

i am pretty sure that it was mentioned that Jim would be stopping by when the 49ers are in town, during the same time it was reported that John came by when the Ravens were in town.

The real question is....with the other Jim (Leavitt) join him.

Hmmmm.... part of me says that would make sense, part of me thinks there wouldn't much to gain. What would he do? Wave hi to his former bosses and go on his merry way?

AWKwarrrd...I know money helps to forget things, but I just couldn't see this happening. It's like having your baby taken away, then getting to go visit it with its new parents...and they want to shake your hand and say "thanks". Chills...

Too bad Coach T can't treat the team to the game... I am sure the Bucs could use every extra fan they can get.

That would be cool, but doubt it would happen.

I don't think it can happen, that would be providing benefits that are not available to all students.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
