The defense was the problem game one. That changed when the DC came down to the sidelines game two.

Yeah, the offense did nothing to lose that first game...

Spread is 4 or 5 wide, spreads the defense out to defend all those targets. USF has been running lots of 2 WR and a TE or two. That means the defense can fill the box and concentrate on the pass rush. Many of these kids played the spread, in Holtz's offense or in high school. Here's an example of power run,  Stanford has a 240 lb full back that is a lineman with a 40s number so they don't have to check him in as an eligible receiver. He is used for blocking on run plays. Stanford has recruited for the power run, USF hasn't done enough of it.

Where did I say they didn't.  The defense was also a problem in game one. Happy?

I agree with smazza; depth has reared it's ugly head every year.

We held MSU to 7 pts on offense

ND gave up 13

Yes, I'm reaching, but the negativity is off the charts lately; thought I'd drop a little love

We also gave up 44 to McNeese State.

44 what? Our defense didn't give up 44 points to McNeese.

3 Rushing TDs

2 Passing TDs

3 FG's

That's 44 points. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.
