I've learned this morning that CBS Sports Network will be getting sublicensed AAC football and basketball games starting next fall.

So. The American's "victory" in getting the matching contract with ESPN was exposure on the ESPN networks.

Exposure that got our blog removed from ESPN and our games not being put on ESPN. Do I have that right?

I don't get that channel (94). I have FIOS and they don't even offer an HD version of that channel.

Don't forget the loss of the Name (BE)  Some might say its for the better, some may not.

The loss of all the History that went along with the name. conference ect...

A seat at the Big boy table(gone, gone gone).

Lack of Bowl tie in's as well, We are losing bowls on an almost daily basis , while conferences like Conf USA makes announcements today they have 5 NEW bowl tie ins.

Lack of exposure, Relegated to ESPN 3 if we are lucky. No mention on the Major Network.

The list goes on and on.

Honest question,   What is Aresco being paid to do?  How long do we allow him to keep the job if we are stuck in this conference?

And C-USA just signed a new bowl in the Bahamas. That would be a great trip to go too. You have to give their commish credit, he's doing a hell of a job with their bowl line-up.

Getting myopic here.  USF is not the only team in the conference.  There are more schools just glad to be here than schools that REALLY want out.

What I know is this was needed in order to match NBC's contract. ESPN couldn't throw games on ESPN3 only.

How exactly isn't this violating the contract? CBS sports has something like 20 million less than NBC Sports?

Lets be fair, if these replace games that would have been on ESPN 3, then this is a good thing. If they replace games that would have been on ESPN or ESPN2, then this is a bad thing. (not sure about households that get ESPNU, but I am guessing that ESPNU has more than CBS Sports)
