Vegas BB tourney

I know it may be a tad early but is anyone making plans for the Dec. 22 - 23 Men's Basketball team's tourney trip to Sin City?  Although flying that time of year is kind of a killer, it looks like there could be some decent deals.  Anyone ever stay at the tourney site's hotel, The Orleans?

The Orleans is a great hotel! It is off the strip so that is a downer for some but it has a great atmosphere as well as low table limits and some great food options as well. There is a movie theatre and bowling alley in there as well. If you like poker the poker room is outstanding. I have probably stayed there 10x. Decent size rooms as well. If you are going to stay off the strip then the Orleans is a great choice.

I agree the Orleans is a decent place with nice entertainment ameneties, I would prefer to stay on the strip.  I have to hockey games at the orleans, it is a great little arena.

if anyone finds a great price from Houston to Vegas that time I might attempt to make trip

I am really hoping to go, but I am waiting to see if football is bowl eligible, because if they get 6 (7, 8, 9 etc.) wins, this will likely be up against their bowl game.

 

If they lose their 7th game, I will then immediately look for a flight to Vegas.

I plan on driving over. Never stayed at the Orleans as I usually stay at The Venetian but its a little pricey there. ..
