he certainly wont be qb

i cant imagine what position he could play

I'm thinking  special teams...he's an athlete and could be a great backup...the 49er's  might be a HB and used on option plays pass, pitch or run... or on  wide  set screens

"Head coach Jim Harbaugh said he will get a chance to play quarterback but that they will also want to look at him at receiver and running back.

Daniels figures to compete with Scott Tolzien for the No. 3 quarterback spot. Given the increasing popularity of the read-option among NFL teams, he could also have value as a practice-squad quarterback.

In 2013, the 49ers will face mobile quarterbacks in the Redskins’ Robert Griffin III, Carolina’s Cam Newton and Wilson, who they’ll face twice."

Watching the draft recap; they brought up BJ saying how well he will compliment Kapernick and how it was a surprise pick

Very complementary of him though

Nfl.com

Care to link said recap? Or the title of the video?
It was on TV this morning, on the nfl network, so the clip should be associated with draft recap Edited by Skingraft

Very true. Hadn't even thought about it, but he could really have a solid career as a practice squad player.

Jim Harbaugh, a better talent evaluator than anyone on this board, said he would be given an opportunity to play QB.

BJ has a better arm than many NFL quarterbacks.  FACT.

Swiss Army Knife.

http://blog.sfgate.com/49ers/2013/04/27/49ers-draft-potential-sak-in-south-floridas-daniels/

“… You wonder with the athleticism, just how many ways could he contribute to this team and this roster,†Harbaugh said. “Quarterback position, 217 pounds, 5’11-and-a-half. Can he be a running back? Can he be a wide receiver? Can he be a kick returner? Can he be a punt returner?

“That idea of being a Swiss Army knife kind of comes up again. And we’ll see just how many things he can be good at … I think we’re fishing out of a good pool there that he’ll be able to contribute to this football team.â€
