Or maybe it's not so rosy as we think.

Maybe Heath got a severe cut in his coaching budget and had to cut staff for monetary reasons...

Well whatever they were getting paid it was to much.

If it's more than $1.98 I'd be very surprised ....

Come on, we just re-signed the Tennis coach!

Have they re-signed Jose Fernandez yet?

The writing was on the wall for Hanson for a while when he was demoted to Director of Basketball Operations in favor of Andy Hipsher. Hipsher made the best of his situation, and will now be coaching with his dad at UT-Pan Am. I would have loved for young Hip to have stayed around to ply his craft just a little more because I think he was really turning into a great recruiter for us. Skeeters was supposed to have that mid-Atlantic area on lock, like Vega mentioned in a prior post, but he wiffed on quite a few players. Heath just wasn't getting the return on investment out of Coach Skeets, so he was let go. I really hope that Heath finds one young, hungry coach with USF ties, one grizzled, veteran recruiter looking for some redemption (like Larry Eustachy was a few years ago), and a great X's and O's guy. Coach Rocc has some connections around the coaching world, let's see if he can help guide Heath to some diamonds in the rough out there.

We need to find replacements soon.  AAU ball will be starting up shortly and the coaches need to be on the road making their presence known.  Interesting that the firings occurred shortly after D. Henry chose USC.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
