I think me made a great decision. Now, he can do all the non-basketball stuff and still have all that money, that is if he doesn't continue with pro ball. It's not like he's 90 years old!

Assuming he is smart and does not piss away his cash.

he has SPENT so much on unnecessary items. I'll post some pics....

Yes, I actually went to the same little high school as him and used to be friends with him on Facebook. His first purchase was a white Jaguar car, but I do think he helped his family out some. He came from a pretty crappy area. He did blow a lot of his money though and I removed him from Facebook because I couldn't stand his statuses which were barely readable and he was always posting pictures of him flashing his money and telling girls to "holla."

Looks like Dominique didn't like the name we gave him:

Jones was more well known for the playful nickname he despised owning — “DoJo” — than he was for his on-court production.

Nonetheless, there's a good article on D-Jones below that discusses more on the inside of the Mavs organization...

Sounds like he wasn't an ideal match for the Mavs, but hopefully he can work his way into a better situation with a different team.

Looking back at all our guys who to went to the NBA, Chucky Atkins was the role model for how to do it (and to be successful after pro-ball).

I hope Mr. Jones continue his run in the NBA.

I guess "There's a lot of things that I can do that I wasn't able to show ....... because of the team that I was on and the talent surrounding me."

I hope someday he finds enough talent to surround himself with so he can really show how he is a great basketball player.

Good lord I hope he did not make that quote. If so, it is completely bush league on his part. He had more than ample opportunity, blaming others is a joke.

Uh. Sounds to me like he was saying he didn't get a shot because the players in front of him...

That was my interpretation. Too many good guys in front of him.
