Winning always helps, but beyond that there should be other ways to increase sales. Mine: work out a package season ticket deal with the Buccaneers. For Buccaneers season ticket holders, buying USF season tickets can cost 20 percent less and we give the Buccaneers an increased percentage of ticket sales made through them. If the seats are in a donation section, we get the total donation but increase the Buccaneers percentage by 1 percent. Anyone else have ideas? On da reelz though; I think you have to start to look at a combined spend for other sports teams in the tampa bay area.... In essence the competition is going to be Bucs, Lightning, Storm, and Rays for spend. If you can combine spend some way, you will increase ticket sales. Now, just because they increase ticket sales, that does not mean you get butts in the seats... winning will dictate that....

When we travel to games local atractions make a difference. We normally go for several days and turn it into a short mini vacation..So it's just not all about winning...it's also enjoying the ride. Go Bulls....

There will always be opportunity to play the Power Conferences.

It is an intriguing idea.

It is an intriguing idea. I suppose we could open it for UCF. An extra 25,000 seats at $20 would be a cool half mil. But NO single game day tickets would be available in the lower bowl. The only way to get a lower bowl ticket for UCF would be to buy a season ticket. On the other hand... By keeping the upper bowl closed (restricting supply) with a given demand, the existing seats become more valuable. Could potentially increase the price and maximise the revenue. AND - there would be less seats for our opponents to outnumber us

The Power Conferences walling themselves off from the rest of the FBS teams is a way to ensure no outside team has a chance at the NC which is exactly the reason for a playoff system, equal access to the NC.
