I know we all want a few QBs in this class but it may be that Mike White is the only incoming QB.

Are you okay with this? I'm guessing next year is when we hit it hard and go after some prospects.

What was Holtz thinking? With the same offensive scheme, next year was going to be a debacle never witnessed on the Bulls' football field without B.J. part II.

I think our new Coach and staff are going to change everything offensively. I don't think we've ever seen Bulls' football like this. I'm talking about the QB doing all the work. Jim Leavitt implemented this system and got the QBs that we needed to run it. Remember when we didn't have the right QB in there? Thank goodness for Matt Grothe and B.J. Daniels.

Okay, so we are going to run the ball.

But do we have the linemen to open holes who are ready to start? That seems to have been the weakness of USF football for so many years.

I guess I'm just a little worried about next year, offensively speaking. I know we are going to have a better defense, and this class is going to help a lot.

My guess is that the existing OL will be pounded into shape. They looked soft last year. Also expect to see a lot of 2 TE and H back.

As for QB, Holtz recruited

2010- Gunsby

2011- Matt Floyd

2012- no one; took little eveld and Trent miller as walk ons.

That's a disaster. The decision not to take a scholarship QB last year after Tyler Cameron bailed was nonsensical.

This probably isn't the right place for this thread, but I assume Trip will move it.

Holtz was thinking that he had Woulard locked up, which he did until Holtz was fired.  No knowing whether AW would have stayed committed, you can't blame it on Holtz for this year.  You can blame Holtz for not bringing in a QB last year.

Based on what we are hearing, this will be a run first team.  I think we'll be fine a QB for next year, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a transfer.

QB doing all of the work, Last year, or this upcoming year? i got lost about 1/2 way through the post. We ran quite a bit when Andre Hall was here.

Yeah, Andre Hall was our Berry Sanders and the Detroit Lions; Berry did all the work.

I hope McCray becomes great for us.

Hope this formats well....

Here are all the folks on the roster, plus all the recruits. Our offensive big uglies are first, then everybody else, then the seniors who have finished their eligibility (AFAIK)

As you can see, we've got some size, and hopefully some good talent, on the front line. Should be able to open up a hole or two from time to time...

Woulard was NEVER a lock.  He was gone the first time he got a better offer.  Holtz should've had 2 lined up...maybe he was afraid of bruising AW's ego.

I think Floyd will do better in Taggart's offense than in Holtz's. I am pretty optimistic that Floyd will surprise us. I think physchology was a big part of last seasons failures and the new psychology Taggart is bringing will surprise us all. At least now with a new staff I can be optimistic again.

Woulard was NEVER a lock.  He was gone the first time he got a better offer.

You don't know that.  He decommitted pretty much immediately after Holtz was fired.
