Seriously considering tuning out until Wednesday... I might actually unsubscribe from Greg's twitter account until Wednesday morning. I guess some folks enjoy this stuff, but I really hate it. (Yes, I know, I'm reading this thread... never said I wasn't interested - just that I hate it!)

Still think he's a solid.

Lamar Robbins, USF commit targeted by Cards, to sign somewhere at 9:30 Wed. Posted on February 5, 2013 by Steve Jones  Miami Southridge cornerback Lamar Robbins, a target of the Universityof Louisville who committed to South Florida after a visit there lastmonth, will sign with a college at 9:30 a.m. EST Wednesday, athleticdirector Cathina Burth said.

U of L coaches visited Robbins last week. Robbins told InsideTheVille.com on Sunday that he was “50/50″
(pay link) on where he would sign. He also  said he expected to get
letters from USF, U of L and Georgia Tech to sign. On Monday, Robbins’
coach told the Tampa Bay Times that he believed his player was firmly pledged to USF, although Robbins himself texted the reporter at the paper, “NA,†when asked if his coach’s comments were accurate.

We’ll see where Robbins ends up at 9:30 Wednesday.

Burth said she was not certain where Robbins would sign. As of 7:30
Tuesday morning, she had only received a national letter of intent from
USF, although she said that doesn’t mean other schools won’t send
paperwork for Robbins at some point before tomorrow and that she would
keeping checking the mail box.

– While Southridge defensive back Lamar Robbins maintains he is still “committed†to USF, he will be making a Signing Day decision Wednesday between the Bulls and Louisville.

Charlie Strong has made a late push for the talented secondary man.

I guess the term "commitment" is misunderstood with today's youth...

Compared to what? College athletes 20 years ago? They weren't under a magnifying glass like guys today.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
