Somewhat committed isn't very encouraging. Hopefully he isn't just saying hes committed because he just left here,

@gregauman: Miami Southridge four-star DB Lamar Robbins, new USF commitment: "I know I had a lot of bigger schools, but USF is the perfect fit."

@gregauman: More from Miami DB Lamar Robbins on choosing USF: "Mom and stepfather came up with me and made a tremendous bond with the coaches."

Hmm.. Doesnt seem to be "somewhat." guess we'll just have to wait and see on NSD

My thoughts exactly. Sounds pretty solid.

New USF commitment Lamar Robbins says he comes in as DB but is "definitely" interested in dabbling on offense. "For a little help," he says.

#BigTen was after Robbins MT @cdowlar Coach Lamont Green said he doesn't think USF ends up with Lamar Robbins without Willie Taggart.

I don't think we'd have a large majority of our guys without CWT

I agree the coaching team CWT has put together is a blessing and tells me he knows how to put a winning team on the field.  Good coaches can spot potential and mold a team.  This also requires flexability as temporary injuries occur.

That's a no brainer!  I don't think Holtz could have gotten 1/2 the interest that CWT has gotten.

USF lands 4-Star DB

On Sunday Bulls247 got confirmation that USF landed it’s second commitment of the weekend. Miami (Fla.) four-star defensive back Lamar Robbins informed the staff he was committing.

Robbins, a 6-foot-3, 188-pound prospect shines on both sides of the ball for Southridge high school. Robbins is ranked as the 14th best athlete, 35th best player in Florida and he’s ranked as the 237th best overall recruit in the country.

Robbins is an explosive receiver and a rangy safety prospect, that has the versatility to play nearly every position in the defensive backfield. Robbins still needs to add weight to his 6-3 frame, but overall he’s a huge pickup for Willie Taggart and the new USF staff.

We’ll have more with Robbins later in the day.

I missed who else we picked up this weekend?
