I wasn't so positive after the Louisville game...but seeing us closer to full strength yesterday with Hawkins...I'm liking it.  How much longer will Noriega be out?

We need at least 8 BE wins for the NIT. It's going to be tough.

7 BE wins is all they need. With the tourney set up it is possible to get to the NIT.

I don't understand the thread title

 

Like some have said this team is a long ways away despite having some good talent on it. The NIT would be fantastic at this point, but the lack of motivating and teaching on proper rebounding techniques, and an offensive system that takes advantages of our strengths, is so alarming that I'm "ALMOST" convinced the season ends with the 1st game of the BET. There is post season capable talent on this team and if the two things I mentioned above change then making it to the NIT is a possibility even with the slow start.

As for next season, well I continue to say there is a lot of work to be done in recruiting to fulfill the great expectations so many seem to have for next season.

You are right Beta. The program is in the best shape it has been in 2 decades. Woulard hired a really good coach.

The program is heading in the right direction, just hope that fans don't go over the deepend if we don't make the dance or end up in NIT.  We are young and lack too many important areas (consistent scorer, size and discipline) to hang this year.  But it sounds like Heath has a decent recruiting class coming in, so I'm excited about the future.

Not sure where anyone thinks is team has a 15% chance of the NCAA. I think It will take a tremendous finish just to get the NIT. Probably need to finish 7-6 in the last13 in conference and maybe a win in the BET.
