If you're gonna knock the students for not being involved in games prior, you have to give them credit this game. Section was full and standing all game. And loud a majority.

The students have always been known to come to an event game.

They did a great job at the game, but you don't get credit for going to a game that everyone else wants to go to.  If they can keep it rolling for a few games, they'll get credit.

I don't have an axe with anybody and going to the NCAAT doesn't exonerate Stan from criticism when he deserves it. He definitely deserved it.

BULLSPIT!

You've never liked Stan's style as a coach, and you only tempered your criticism last year because he kept racking up win after win.

Coaching is not the issue with this team right now.  It's execution.

-----------------

I think the problem is the lack of a center, which primarily falls on the coaching rung.  We're a good team, but could have been a great team if we had another player.

Waverly Austin 12 11.8 4.9 3.8 0.3 0.3 0.7 1.5 .548 .650 .000

Take this out to 30 min a game He would avg 15 pts 11 boards  just what we need

Students were awesome and I have no problem with turnout but their section wasn't full. They do go up to 3rd level, correct?

Guys, I don't need a lesson on how lack of rebounding makes you a bad fast break team. I'm not saying we should be an amazing fast break squad out there. We should definitely have all 5 guys by the hoop trying to get the rock.

However, there are at least a few possessions each game that I go "WTF?!?!" because they decide not to push it for some reason. These are the moments I'd like to get rid of, or have some sort of explanation for, not wanting to kill your players is a valid reason (Collins playing 40 mins). If you watch the replay on ESPN3 you'll even see the announcers say stuff during failed fastbreak opportunities.

Collins would be a monster pushing the ball, Heath seemed to indicate this offseason it would be our new identity. Instead, we're playing with the old identity. Albeit, we're doing pretty well with it thus far, surprisingly. There's room for improvement though.

Speaking of highlights, did any of Rudd's dunks make it onto Sportscenter after the game?
