Is Jamie saying that or just some poster?

Jamie works for ESPN... Josh works for 247 (his cousin).... The information on that site comes from the 247 staff members.

Thank you for the correction.

Maybe they should wait until AFTER we play in the bowl game. Oh... wait a second. As much as I have been a fan of Holtz, this clearly has not worked out well. We're on the wrong path and I don't see how it's getting better. It seems we are underperforming against our talent. I'd be game to give Petrino a chance just to raise the strength of the program.

He would have an imediate impact on our program's success.

List of things USF should do this weekend.

1. Beat Pitt.

2. Announce that they've fired Holtz after the game.

Announce something. Doug said they'd wait til the end of the season. There has been plenty of time for evaluation.

at this point what's another 3 - 4 days? If they've made their decision, wouldn't surprise me if they haven't put out some kind of feelers for possible replacements :2cents:

If they fire Skip without knowing exactly who they are going to get, then the administration has failed us again.

That will not happen. Perhaps that is what is taking so long (one can only hope).

* We continue to hear there's a very strong chance USF decides to fire Skip Holtz.

* USC DC Monte Kiffin is out at USC

* Multiple sources tell us Cincinnati coach Butch Jones is a candidate at Purdue, Colorado and Boston College.

* We continue to hear there's a very strong chance USF decides to fire Skip Holtz.

* The rumor tonight is that Clemson OC Chad Morris has interviewed with NC State. La. Tech coach Sonny Dykes has also interviewed. Multiple outlets have reported that Morris is no longer considered a candidate.

* One source tells us Northern Illinois coach Dave Doeren and Kent State coach Darrell Hazell are very serious players at NC State.

* Mercury news reports "Former Raiders coach Hue Jackson expressed interest in the Cal football job, and luring Chris Petersen away from Boise State might not be as far-fetched as some Bears fans think." Utah State coach Gary Andersen, La. Tech coach Sonny Dykes and San Jose State coach Mike MacIntyre are also considered to be strong candidates.

* AuburnUndercover reports that up to 10 candidates are in contention for the Auburn job. FSU coach Jimbo Fisher and former Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino being among the highest profile.

* Sources indicate Miami coach Al Golden, FSU coach Jimbo Fisher and Penn State coach Bill O'Brien remain in strong contention for the Tennessee job.

*GoVols247 reports that Jon Gruden is no longer a candidate for the Tennessee job.

* Now that Louisville's season is over, expect Charlie Strong to get calls from Auburn, Tennessee and Arkansas.

* Former ESPN analyst and Pitt coach Mike Gottfried told AuburnUndercover that he thinks Auburn could hire bobby Petrino:

"I think Auburn has him on their list and I believe they could hire him. Everybody makes mistakes. I have had people tell me he's the best offensive guy they've ever worked with."

Sure about that? Doubt at this point USF has not already 'decided' one way or another what they are going to do. Performance in the Pitt game is not going to change that. The decision has been made to stay or go already, we just dont know it yet.

I think it has less to do with if we beat sPitt, and more to do with USF getting a good pool of coaching candidates.

Since the SEC will not touch Petrino I think we have a good shot, however keep in mind that just because the SEC won't touch him does not mean that the ACC, PAC, Big10, or Big12 won't. Also who's to say which coaching candidate Doug and Judy want to go after in the first place.

Until something happens we will all be in the dark.

Since the SEC will not touch Petrino

Yet he's in the top 3 for the Auburn job....

More conference realignment?

Don't know... just going off a report I read where it said that the SEC put out a statement that effectively black listed Petrino.
