OMG. They have not played a down in the NBE and they are already lamenting that their "spot" in the SEC will be filled by NC State.

East Carolina power play part 1 was a success. Make someone else hire skip.

Part 2 was a success. Get into Big East.

Part 3, get into NFC South is in process.

Oy vey, over on bonyardbanter.com, they are talking about how now they are one step closer to the SEC. This is a nightmare.

Hey we have a few Rocket Surgeons over here as well. I wouldn't take one genius comment and label their fanbase off of it. I'd rather have ECU in than TULANE...WTF

Tulane is much better, better market and better school. The Big 12 was looking at Tulane last year.

And go back to Tulane, they have had success albeit when Tommy Bowden was HC and Rich Rod was OC, but they had sucess and are in New Orleans with a lot of TV options. Aresco is making the best of a bad situation, this guy still is a great hire, just WAAAAAAAAAAAAy to late.

I believe this is a long term network driven solution for the Big East... It looks like crap now but they just upgraded their athletic facilities and they are in a great market that only the SEC are kind of in. In the long run I feel they can have the same impact of a Rutgers team 3 to 4 years ago. Great Education and a steadily growing fanbase in a good market

Tulane really has not been very good in a national sense since the 1940's (yes, they were a charter member of the mighty SEC).
