I also like his enthusiasm and the way he communicates with fans...seems to be very engaged and positive.

Sometimes I feel like Bill is the one running the show and not Doug....

You would be wrong when you get those feelings. Have only gotten to know Bill a little in the last couple of years. Seems loyal to the program (doesn't mean he wouldn't take an AD job but I think he came from one). Very positive attitude. He gave us a tour of the dome and sold us on buying basketball tix this year. I like the guy.

So how am I wrong for having those feelings again? You never elaborated on why I would be wrong. Regardless, thats my personal opinion. Doug seems to be much more visible. Obviously I know Doug IS the one running the show, I'm just stating that Bill seems more visible.

I was just saying that if you thought that Bill was running the show you would be wrong. That is a fact, not an opinion. Doug is running the show. Bill is a very capable assistant. But Doug is the most powerful man in that athletics building, despite what Leavitt thought.

Would be nice if they axed DW and Bill stepped in.

No it wouldn't. You want Woolard, version 2.0?

Who says he's Woolard 2.0? Have you ever even met the guy? He's a good dude who has a lot invested into this University.

McGillis should be canned.

On what basis?

Bill is great IMO and hope he remains at USF

Bill is great yes, but he's only busting his ass for USF so he can get an AD job at a big time university.

LOL ...

Agree that they are two quite different people. Don't know what, if anything, Bill would do differently. He supports Doug (which is his job) but I don't think he his version 2.0.

Yes, I have met him on a good number of occaisions. I also know a good number of the people in the department who have all said the same thing about him.

People who have worked there long before Woolard arrived.
