This is most likely the reason Holtz will be here next year. USF football cannot afford to keep him here, but USF football cannot afford to get rid of him either. Catch 22.

As a football program, if we ever needed a booster to step up now couldn't be a better or more vital time.

Unless you got assurances that the current AD would not be here, why would any booster want to throw money down the hole that is USF Athletics? Did you read the article?

USF had recklessly fleeced the students for years. They've had to in order to build a NCAA Major program because quite frankly there isn't a lot of money coming from the outside.

Not surprising at all. It has become apparent lately that they do not know how to run a business.

So basically, we are in a winless situation?

We are stuck with an inept AD, incapable football coach and are a member of a inferior conference.

The last 10 years have been a cruel joke, haven't they?

unfortunately this is college athletics. most programs take from the students. how else could we pay an AD $750k+ or a coach $2M+. it's disgusting really and legislators need to step in and limit state funded universities athletic budgets.

The saddest thing about that article is that good hardworking people are leaving while underachieving people get raises.

that is how it works at USF at every level... USF has a leadership/management issue and its because almost all of USF's current leadership/management did not graduate from USF.

We are the only university that does not hire alumni to run the University. If you go to any of the SEC schools their administration is stacked with alumni... here our administration is stacked with alumni from DeVry, Phoneix, and Rasmussen.
