I don't know, this brings the Big 10 to 14 along with the SEC. I'd imagine that the Big 12 will snatch up Louisville. That gives them 11. Would they go to 12 or 14?

Wont go past 12 unless it's ACC teams involved, still no guarantee past 10 either.

THIS IS ALL IRRELEVANT AT THIS POINT

Agreed. We are not going anywhere. When all of this is said and done, it will be about the 'legacy' programs consolidating and keeping the upstarts out of the picture.

ESPN will not rest until the NBE is destroyed and the non-blue bloods are relegated to CUSA 2.0.

I don't mean to rain on this parade, but are we certain that we are ahead of BYU, UCF, Houston, SMU or Memphis? I am not 100 sure that our ticket out is after Rutgers, UConn, Louisville and Cincinnati ... there may be some other schools that might be in line too. I'm not saying for certain, but lets not assume too much here.

no biggie at this point

THIS IS ALL IRRELEVANT AT THIS POINT

Wrong and wrong again. This all but kills our sports programs. All the marquee programs will be gone and we won't even have the thrill of playing Big Time basketball programs. Unless somebody takes us and why would they....this is a huge blow mainly due to the ripple effects created - more so than just by Rutgers leaving.
