He turned down $13 million to play another season with the Rays.

So much for the tears at the last home game .... but he's pretty typical of today's pro athlete where Longoria isn't.

Looks like he is going to Atlanta...5 years, $75 million. Wow, he sure looks smart for turning down the Rays offer now...

I agree. But I welcome him to the Braves, hopefully a change of scenery will be good for him.

No, it's actually a good value for the Braves. Obviously too much for the Rays to pay, but Upton has been seriously undervalued by Rays fans. Wait until you see what CF defense and offense looks like when he's gone.

Based on what he's done, that is not a good value for the Braves. They paid that because of what they believe he can do.
