Talk about a cush job. Even Leavitt admitted as much when he landed it. He said the LBs were teaching him. slick...I'm still waiting for you to 'splain to me how Skip is so weak he can't stand up to a handful of college students. You are a waste of bandwidth. C'mon, slick... It was your dumbass statement so please tell us how it's all the seniors fault and how Skip is too weak to stand up to them. Or did you let your keyboard overload your ass...again? Difference being that the Leavitt website was up over a year before the Miller incident. Not to mention those that want to fire Holtz are too cheap to put up a website. ^^^ Joe Biden of thebullspen. Do you watch football? Have you seen when a team has a veteran QB that can't get the job done? Their back ups aren't developed and they are stuck with that? Doesn't matter who the coach is, that position needs a replacement. I mean, come on, are you that clueless? HAVE EITHER OF YOU COACHED COLLEGE BALL!!!! NOPE SO SHUT THE HELL UP. The senoirs are lost because there is no leadership from the top to the bottum. Skip is a great guy and was given a great opprotunity but things have not worked out... you think he wanted to hire a new DC or WR coach? Losing guys like that and bringing in guys that really have no ties to these kids or this program is hard to make work. We will see what will happen in the next couple of months but things are bound to change.

Unfortunately he is too inconsistent. I don't think Payton Manning could help him. Now he is Skip's problem. But its not just him. There are issues on defense too, obviously. I could go on and on with problems the team has without getting to coaching. Fair enough. No one thinks BJ is Peyton but I think he plays hard and well enough to win a few games even though he is far from a pinpoint passer. The problems on the defense and the offensive line I think are larger. Skip also knows that he has to give the facade that the team may pass for the run to work. I feel that he has overcompensated by passing too much. He also should do more passing out of the "I" with the extra blocker like he did on the Davis TD. BJ is constantly under duress and sometimes makes it worse by scrambling the wrong way. Calling the right plays when you know your QB is a threat but with limitations is part of being a good coach. Talk about a cush job. Even Leavitt admitted as much when he landed it. He said the LBs were teaching him. This right here makes you lose all credibility. You hate Leavitt. You won't give him credit for his coaching ability. His do you explain the development of George Selvie, Nate Allen, Mistral Raymond, Ben Moffitt, and many others? Could you do THAT from the internet at home? Its OK to hate him, its OK to love Skip, but, give credit where its due or at least keep your fingers off the key board. Statements like the above make it obvious that you're ignorant. (Yes, I can read, I know the quote is talking about the niners and youre not directly talking about his job here, but, the clear implication is that you think he has no ability as a coach and you're dead wrong) And yes, I know he's not coming back, but, we don't have to settle for Skip either. (insert your favorite adj.) The only way he impacts the defense is by turning over the ball or not converting, thus they are spending too much time on the field as well as too much time defending a short field. Post #131 is the best I can do but I will add that I have seen even the great one make bad plays from time to time. The defense does not seem to be able to stop anyone on 3rd down short or long field.
