Yeah, Urban Meyer, Pete Carroll, Bob Stoops, Brian Kelley, Mack Brown, Bobby Bowden, Steve Spurrier, Les Miles, Nick Saban ... all of them really need to be black if they are going to have any kind of sustained success in their careers.

You're the only one who mentioned a coach needing to be black to be successful. All b town mentioned is that we needed a black to have better relate to the players. No one said anything about needing to be black to be successful till your strawman.

Give me a definition of "need" that means "can be successful without it." He said the team needs a black coach. If he acknowledges that the team can succeed without a black coach, then the team does not need a black coach. That is what "need" means.

Plenty of white coaches "relate to" their black athletes just fine enough to win games. The statement was absolute nonsense.

you literally said we'd be better off with a good young black coach. why he had to be black is what we have a problem with.

it is really as simple as that

If you don't think that matters you're fooling yourself. Charlie Strong sells this and the number of black coaches on his staff on the recruiting trail. A young black coach with good recruiting ties in FL like Magee or Taggart would kill in recruiting down here.....

How exactly do they sell it??

Quit trying to sound smart.

What would be the point of relating w/ players... if it is not for success? For fun? I am pretty sure success was implied.

Good day.
