Out of the blue, our only football coach, the man who watched the cement posts dry, was involved in a scandal... And then what should have been okay with the transition... Alright, I admit it. Lou Holtz Jr. was not a bad choice at the time. All things being equal, the football program should at the very least be back to where it was when Leavitt was in charge (not bad, pretty good at times, lots of fun and going to bowl games). Then, bam! The Big East turned into C-USA II. Now, the football program is on life support --Well, okay, it's in the ambulance heading for the hospital. ----------------------------------------------- On the other extreme, men's basketball... dancing, renovated dome, practice facilities... winning! Are you kidding me?! ----------------------------------------------- I'm going to stop being angry at the "people" and just accept it as one of those things that happens with being a Bull: feast or famine. Like it or not, it's going to be a rough ride with football. We had our good times. Now, it's time to pay the piper. Don't know how many years, but the forecast is all dark clouds. Men's basketball, that's all sunny! --Go Bulls!

Losing a lot on the front line.

When football sucks AND basketball sucks? Now that's going to be depressing.

Are we going to move homecoming back to basketball season now? (I know there are some on this board who have no clue what I am talking about. Yes USF's homecoming use to be during basketball season.) We did not even have basketball then. Homecoming centered around soccer! I was so grateful USF basketbull began in 1970. Although our footbull program is now very depressing, it is wonderful having a footbull team.

Losing a lot on the front line. There's a lot of talent coming in on the font line to fill the void. Granted, it's not proven talent yet.
