He might not be the best pocket passer, but the kid plays his heart out and gives us a chance. You put floyd or Eveld out there with our Swiss cheese line and we are looking at 10 sacks a game. We have many problems with this team, but BJ is hardly this biggest one.

His run ability is what makes him what he is. He has poor technical form compared to quality qbs, from footing, to decision making, to the inability to see past his targeted wideout. A really poor passing qb.

Any other QB is in a 2 minute drill. He is throwing 4 yard passes, taking 20 seconds to run a play, and throwing the ball away on 4th down. Not to mention those end of half pics. He is a senior who has the decision making skills of a senior (in high school). He my be our best option but that doesn't mean he is any good.

It was his scrambling, designed run plays and fight that kept this closer than I expected.

Exactly. The kid has limits, and we all know that, but I've never questioned his heart and effort, which cannot be said for the rest of the team. Nothing but respect for #7. That's not BJ... that bad play calling by Fitch... and he's been doing it since he came here. Fitch is always late getting the play in and BJ can only run what's called.
