Is the offensive line that bad or do we need to try some other options at RB?

If you don't count his 3 "longest" runs of the year (9, 9, 14 yds), D. Murray has 110 yards rushing on 35 carries for an average of 3.1 yards. (3TDs)

Maybe it's just me but the guy looks uninspired out there. Thoughts?

Offensive line is terrible. Main reason I can't gripe about Bj. Tom Brady would've stunk behind that line.

I'll probably get tarred and feathered for saying this, but I don't think D. Murray is all that good. When we had Darrell Scott running last year, when the kid got hit, he'd always fall forward. I don't see the same pop and strength out of Murray. Unfortunately, for someone lacking that pop, he's not all that quick either. He's just a steady RB that can't catch and won't likely turn the ball over. He shouldn't be our primary option in our backfield. I hope Marcus Shaw can stay healthy because I see promise in that kid.

They are below average, but Rutgers brings extra hats all game, so they are not as bad as we think.

You need to reverse the areas you're blaming.

You need to watch the game film from last night...

This line misses Warren and Hine much more than I expected.

I covered this in another thread. The O-line couldn't handle the constant pressure from blitzes and our QB did nothing to keep the defenses honest, primarily because he doesn't have the skill set to do so. QB play and coaching are more to blame than the O-line.

If I'm wrong, tell me how so, but I watched the game very closely last night and you've said nothing yet that proves me wrong.

Hasn't Skip been recruiting handfuls of O-lineman in each class?! Guess we still need a couple years for them to develop, but would expect better consistency given the focus here.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Rutgers blitzed almost every play. Theoretically doesn't that leave voids in the backfield that our players should take advantage of? Or was rutgers playing more that 11 guys on the field?
