I was thinking Welch would be the guy that will need to step up here. Hope to see him more, he didn't catch many passes last year, but he definitely showed that he can be a force on YAC.

coach said welch and dvo will be pushed into larger roles. I singled out Dvo because he now has the opportunity to show his stuff as a true freshman and get his career off to a good start.

I believe Gonzalez is ticketed for a redshirt as of right now. Some talk on here that he may move to the defensive side of the ball, but I think that was speculation.

yea i read that too, but with the injury to Griffin, I imagined D'vo and Gonzalez would step up seeing how he did last year and camp. Not knocking Welch, he's a good player, but Gonzalez can play. I will trust the coaching staff lol

Gonzalez has been plagued by a nagging injury thats why they are going to redshirt him. It's all on Dunkley, Welch and Dvo to step up. I'd expect to see Marc play a much bigger role now as well.

I would love to see D'Vo get more looks. If he gets comfortable out there I think he will be a tremendous threat with his height and strength.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
