I watched that play on Sam and it didn't look like any helmet came into contact with another helmet...regardless of that awful penalty call.

Yep, that was a straight shoulder pad hit. Maybe it was the "defenseless player" rule?

They definitely called it helmet-to-helmet .... even the announcers questioned it.

I believe the ref said "helmet to helmet against a defenseless player". Maybe they figured it was just a little of each so it deserved a penalty. Or maybe just confused.

Sounds to me like confused. I heard Houston Nuttcase was one of the broadcasters? Thankfully I couldn't hear him, it was so friggin loud in the sports bar with all the friggin Gator fans.

Just watched it again. He said specifically, "Helmet to helmet contact to a defenseless receiver". I'm not sure that is in the rule book.

Nutt was part of the halftime crew ... Announcers were James Bates, ex-Gator and Aaron Taylor.

The Bull Rush is reporting that Webster and Jenkins did not practice today. Not a good sign. Bivins was mentioned as possibly seeing time against Rutgers.

I'd be willing to bet its precautionary and if they go through walk throughs Wednesday they will play. If not, the loss of Webster hurts but Lejiste can fill in for Jenkins and we should be ok.

What the sideline reporter said for Webster was a turf burn. For Rays fans, that would be like Elliott Johnson's face last week. But on your knee it's going to hurt a heck of a lot when you move it.

If the report wasn't bogus, he'll play, just might not practice. But the way that broadcast crew was, I guess you can't trust it.
