Its apparent that Skip and Co. failed to prepare for this game... any other school would have sent its team out to Nevada a few days early to get in some pre-game scrimmages, so they could acclimate themselves to the altitude and atmosphere.

Preparing in Tampa for a game in a mountainous area is a total failure to prepare.

If we can't beat Nevada then we have ZERO chance at winning the BEast.

1) Could we afford to do that?

2) I believe there are NCAA rules about traveling which would prevent us from going early.

I know there are people out there that think altitude is all mental. But it's really not. It's a real problem for us sea level folk.

yea im gonna go ahead and guess you can't do that. presuming their isn't a rule about it specifically, you can't pull them out of class all week.

Lets schedule a game 5 1/2 hours away against a team using a system that uses a unique offense. Them fly back and play our BE opener against in four days. The dude simply sucks!

You seem to be of the ignorant, uninformed opinion that the Big East schedule is in any way whatsoever a decision being made by Doug Woolard. This game was scheduled years ago, and the Big East schedule is handed down to the ADs. They have no control over it.

Which game was scheduled year ago?

Nothing, I had written something different and failed to edit the post correctly. It doesn't matter when the Nevada game was scheduled.

I understand that TCU screwed us, thus the late schedule against Nevada. But was that literally our only option? What did the other Big East teams do?

I do agree with you brybull, but I am more worried about the impact on Thursday's game...which WAS the fault of ESPN.
