QB is a position that worries me in terms of depth.

It was worse last year. For Floyd to move up and take #2 from Eveld at this point should make people rest a bit easier, imo.

Agreed. Hopefully eveld will push back on Floyd and all three of them will improve

Really great to hear... Eveld did great in his time against Miami... but he hasnt shown much else... Good to see Floyd step up.

Sounds like Floyd has busted some serious arse and I love to hear that. Great job Matt.

It certainly sounds like he's taken to polishing his game up much more this season. I recall Matt Floyd being one of the more vocallly eccstatic recruits we had during his high school recruiting. Great to hear he's focused his energy less on tweeting and more on learning that playbook. Great job, Matt.

Agree.

Also nice to have a 3rd stringer (Eveld) with a decent amount of game experience as well then.

Not to stray from this 2012 season but I wonder what the 2013 QB competition for starter will be like.

I've been wondering as well. Both Floyd and Woulard will be given the keys and I think both have the potential to be productive for us. Hope we don't have a rift between teammates.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."
