@SIPeteThamel Source: Big East hired Chris Bevilacqua and Alan Gold as consultants to negotiate new TV deal. They consulted on Pac12 deal

Not sure if this was posted on any other threads....Instead of rushing into a commissioner decision IMO this is a great move!

Consultants? IF we NEED consultants then why do we have a BEast Board that is made up of university Presidents and AD's?

If a group of people that make over a million each can't figure out how to negotiate a TV contract with NBC, or can't find the time between golf and waking up at noon everyday then we have bigger problems.

University presidents aren't experts in contracts and getting the highest price bid. I like consulting experts who have a history of getting good deals

Do you know what a University President does? A large % of their job duties is to negotiate deals and lobby for political items with the government. Dealing with the government is a lot more difficult then sitting down with some NBC executives.

This is just laziness that costs the conference $$... the SEC or Notre Dame didn't bring in consultants to negotiate their cup cake TV deals, they suited up and did it themselves.

The Big East is not the SEC or Notre Dame. Didn't you see that this is the same group the PAC 12 used?
