USF Defensive Outlook

Has anyone got a good idea of the style we should expect?

I tried to get an idea from the spring, but was left with nothing concrete....

I know offense sells tickets, but I like some bone cracking D

Greg mentioned that we can probably expect the defense to be less agressive this year. I can only assume that this means that the defense will give the opposing offense hugs based on how soft they played last year.

Hopefully, by less aggressive, he means they'll play smart and stick to their assignments as opposed to making risky plays.

I heard it was supposed to be similar as well which will be good. Hopefully transition period will go smooth then. I hope as well they get smarter and commit less penalties

with jaquez jenkins in there, the defense looks completely different. hope he can stay healthy.

Not sure how much of it was honest praise and how much of it was coach-speak, but Chris Ault has mentioned a couple of times that he thinks South Florida will have the best athletes of any of Nevada's opponents next year. I think the game has many ingredients of a really intriguing match-up of scheme vs. talent.
