At least it's positive news from the meetings. Wonder if allowing NBC and fox in to make presentations was one of the first great ideas we will see from this interim AD

Wonder if that move makes ESPN want to destroy the BE.

Don't know about you, but I think events that have actually happened have made it clear ESPN has it out for this conference.

that sounds like a twitter fantasy to me.

BE somehow needs to be proactive. I think we could be better than the ACC if we could somehow in the unlikely event raid them and bring in some teams.

I thought bringing in the almighty ucf in the Big East was proactive? They're the reason the BE will get that big TV deal.

not going for 8 was a bad idea.

a dead BE is in ESPN's best interest.

IMO, the best solution for D1 football is fourteen 9-team divisions, with all divisional teams from the same region to minimize in-conference travel costs. 4 home, 4 away, 4 OOC games. Play round-robin, all 14 champions go to the playoffs, add 2 at-large teams to make 16.

Anything else is second-best.

Only logical step left is for the Big East and ACC to have their own annual tournament Rose Bowl and SEC/B12 style. It will obviously be lowest in ratings, but it will be better than nothing.

Isn't that kinda what the Orange Bowl has been?
