It looks like UF is cutting its computer science department. Anyone else think this is related?

They have/had the best computer science program in the state. This topic has been the main talking point "around the watercooler" this morning at work as we are all computer science grads. I hate to say this, but this opens the door for UCF to be the best at something.

This confirms that Scott is a moron and I regret voting for this guy... won't make that mistake again.

If Florida can only afford to fully fund 5 State Universities, then why does this jack-ass think that its a great idea to open a 12th State Univeristy?

This move was purely a back-door operation of the corrupt Republican Party leadership. Love how Scott ran on the ticket of being a non-corrupt candidate that is not an establishment candidate, and then when he gets into office he does everything an establishment candidate would have done. To be fair the Democrat Party and its leadership is just as corrupt and would have done the same thing.

Maybe we need this guy to step in:

No matter his own political affiliations. He truly goes by The Law. I know that many on here are not fond of FSU, but they've had to fight the "gator" legislatures for years. If I'm not mistaken both houses are still predominantly gator.

Scott has definitely lost my confidence.

Not to get political....I agree that both parties are corrupt.....but it is hard to visualize a world where Alex Sink would have screwed USF and then turn around and do JD Alexander a favor.

As they say....elections have consequences....this is one of them. However, if you voted the other way.....there would probably be a number of consequences the other way that you wouldn't like.

The transition bloodletting has already begun. Judy Genshaft, at a Lakeland meeting this morning, told USF Poly faculty and staff that many of them are getting the axe. Not the most funnest kinda meeting to start the week off with.

Recall Scott and Scumbag Alexander fired the entire USF Poly Faculty and left Judy to do the dirty work.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
