Bad idea. The "U" by virtue of being a stylized bull looks very different from the other letters. People will think we are "SF" and in fact, some already refer to us as that. Oh, and we need to stop trying to force the national media to call us "USF" and go back to "South Florida" especially with UCF coming in. Even the horizontal "USF" logo makes me cringe when they show it on ESPN and other national outlets; too small to tell what it even is -- should just make them use the "U" alone. Terrible job all around with branding, sorry to say.

I'm with you. That's all I want to see when I see our logo on ESPN. When people see the iconic U, then know what University it represents. They should just use this pic as our brand from now on.
