That bowl game you mention is a dump. The city refuses to do anything to it. Road trip to Memphis? Please, I will visit West Philadelphia first. Memphis will improve over time, until then, I'll take the easy 1A win...

Short of the WV judge filing an injunction to keep WVU from leaving there is nothing anyone can do to stop them. Right now, both sides are negotiating a settlement. This week all we heard from Twitter was the Big East was looking to get either BSU or Memphis to come in for 2012 in case WVU leaves. Well.....what would happen if it was announced today that Memphis was joining for 2012? The WVU attorneys would go back to the courts, the mediator and say...."See, us leaving will not cause irreperable harm to the Big East. Thus we should no longer have to pay as much as we were yesterday". But if you say 2013.....WVU cannot make that claim. But if for some reason WVU DID decide to play in the BE in 2012.....Memphis wants some assurances that they will still be able to join. Once, WVU settles.....you will hear an announcement for 2012. Looks like the Bulls will have a roadie in Memphis this season. Well at least there is a conference road game besides Syracuse that USF should be able to win. There are literally no good football schools to go after besides Notre Dame. May as well add a school that brings good basketball if anything. Jumping up to a BCS conference helped us quite a bit. Why wont it do the same for them? So Miss? ECU? When compared to Memphis Everyone should know this by now, it's about the market. I think Memphis is something around #48, similar to Louisville. Southern Miss is and always will be overshadowed by the SEC and ECU speaks for itself. There are no better options besides BYU and Notre Dame and they are never going to happen. I'd look at Temple and Air Force next and all it a day. Temple was a much better option across the board and would of accepted, the difference is, unlike USF, who bent over and let the remaining 4 FB schools add UCF, villanova held their ground to protect their product. UCF is actually more damaging to USF than Temple would be to Nova, but our leadership was too weak to dig their heels in. Too bad.

UCF is essentially a clone of USF. We are both very large state institutions. The only way one will be consistently better than the other will be becuase of better administration or coaching or if one of us can get into a better conference like the ACC or SEC. However, Nova is a small private school. They will never be able to compete with Temple in the form of facilities or funding. Sure you may be able to get a better education.....but that will only draw certain athletes. At least USF and UCF are somewhat separated regionally......Nova and Temple share the same city. Market earned us a TV contract worth **** last time. Market has built this league into nothing. It's most successful team? WVU. Market has NOTHING to do with Memphis getting better. And the fact that they're in a market doesn't mean they'll get better. They're a bad football program and have been that way because they won't commit to football. So Miss or ECU can only build so much? What?

Yet you folks want to bash them? We are 3-14 in the past two years in the BE despite being in FL and BCS for seven years. Who sucks more? The Liberty Bowl is already with the Big East. It's not about USF, it's about making sure USF still has thy opportunity. The conference is fragile, there were better schools out there. This was a bad pick.
