Why did the Mavs waste a 1st rounder on him if they weren't going to give him a chance?

Dojo being teamed with Carlisle was a recipe for disaster all along.

That sucks. He's a good defender and he can score. Needs to work on that 3pointer if he wants to stick in the league though. His is piss poor.

"The Dallas Mavericks have recalled guard Dominique Jones from the Texas Legends of the NBA Development League.

Jones averaged 13.3 points and 2.3 assists in 22 minutes per game in three games with the Legends.

The 6-foot-5 Jones was assigned to the Legends on Jan. 15. In nine games with the Mavericks before then, he scored 16 points with eight rebounds.

The Mavericks made the move Monday, and said Jones would be available for their game that night against the Phoenix Suns."
