I like this Skip. He was gutsy. He was in control. He was decisive.

He finally stepped up and owned this team.

On a side note, BJ needs to stop chatting it up with the other team's defense and remain focused on the next play, he's like a child out there. Murray showed tonight that he has better instincts as a RB than D. Scott who is more physically gifted. He's our starter.

bj isnt changing

and he still lacks focus as junior

the good game aside, his schtick doesnt work against average or better teams

he has a body of work to prove that

Fair weather fans.

false.

fairweather fans are those who are the biggest fans when a team is winning them abandons them when they lose.

nobody still posting on this forum, still attending games and still pulling for the bulls to win after spending the past month and a half swirling around the bottom of the Big East toilet bowl waiting to be flushed can be considered a fairweather fan.

criticizing a coach's or team's mistakes after one game and praises them for fixing those mistakes after the next has nothing to do with "fairweather."

it makes absolutely no sense to expect someone who is critical of mistakes to remain critical even after improvement is shown, just for the sake of remaining consistent in their criticism. opinions and evaluations change as conditions change. anyone who rigidly holds a specific opinion regardless of the changing circumstances is ignorant.

we beat one of the worst teams in college football

please

Ironic this comes from you, with a bag on your head icon.

I liked that we continued to press on defense and not go into prevent on the second half.

However, I will say Skip laid into the refs.. .then we got two back to back holding calls, coincidence????

Agree we will win at Syracuse and Miami and either Lville or WVU will be a win for us. We win 3 of the next 4.

Fair weather fans.

I may be delusional but I'm far from fair weather.

Agreed he coached this game very well. I was very happy to see him go for it on 4th down; decisive play of the game in my opinion.

We still have a lot of work to do on clock management though.

Agree with that 4th down call being critical. Told the Mrs. that had he kicked the FG we would have been down when 'cuse scored their first TD. That call seem to inspire the O-line.

Found it interesting that when BJ was running the read option that the RB was headed off tackle and he, many times, held it and ran up the middle. A nice little twist on that play.

If Cuse had capitalized on two redzone possessions late this would be a totally different type thread. A win changes all points of view though

If your Aunt had testicles she'd be your Uncle. Yes there were some lucky USF drops by 'Cuse recvrs but If Marc don't fumble Syracuse folds a quarter earlier.

In all honesty, if Skip makes a call for a field goal there and we lose that game, he moves himself and his entire staff from the frying pan to the fire. That was a self preservation move......and a good one! He and his staff have 3 more games to prove they actually have a pair of nads. Time for them all to NUT UP in the last three :D
