We will playing a Big 12 schedule no court will issue an injunction against us especially in WV, part of the reason WVU filed the suit to keep it in WV courts. It can't go to a federal court because WVU is a state agency (verified by RR suit).

This is about posturing by BE and WVU on how much will be paid by WVU to leave June 21, 2012. When this goes to discovery one of two things is going to happen, the will be a settlement prior or all of the Big East info will come out for everyone to see, we all know the BE is ran by idiots who think Providence basketball is the most important thing. That is what screwed this up in the first place and until the basketball schools are told to screw off this will continue to happen.

Yes it can win, Pitt and Cuse was given a buyout figure, this sets a precendent. If a case happens the Pitt and Cuse AD will be summoned and/or subpoenaed if necessary, this is where the $20-25 mil figure has come from.

This is the rumor on WVU boards, but that information is not in the lawsuit filing. In the filing, they state that the fact that TCU did not have to wait 27 months as the reason they can leave early. If the Pitt/Cuse offer was real, it would be in the filing.

I therefore do not believe Pitt/Cuse were officially given a number with which they could buy out early.

Expect this in discovery.

If they had anything other than rumor, it would be in the filing, not in discovery. At best they will try to piece together some theory or heresay to support their argument.

I'm sure the Big East can easily evade the WV state courts by filing a countersuit in Providence.
