Last in the Big East by a large amount too. Skip needs to get those students to class and get thoses numbers above 70% like the rest of our conference. This is an embarassing number.

gregauman Greg Auman

Can't tell how much to care about NCAA grad-rate statistics. Most recent data is for students enrolling in 2004. USF wasn't in Big East yet.

2004 class. Means very little. 2006 class would have been a different story.

FYI,

2004 class means incoming so they would have graduated anywhere between 2007-2009, mostly 08-09.

If this is true, it's embarrassing.

Pretty sure that numbers also figures in players who transferred out of here, of which there were a good number after we joined the Big East.

Our APR number going up the last couple of years is a good sign.

The 49% rate is not really 49% since it includes pre-Big East data correct... also what bearing does the NFL draft on this %... if a junior is drafted then they obviously don't graduate.

Perhaps the teams should start padding the teams with regular students that never see the field that will boost the numbers like some other colleges do. A friend of mine up in Hogtown said that the Gayturds keep a certain number of regular walkon's on their various sports teams so that they are guaranteed that some graduate and thus it pads the stats.

Its still an embarassingly low number. Other schools have players leave early for the draft and transfer. What this means is we have that as well as players not graduating after 4 or 5 years. West Virginia is in the 70s. Do you think they have players go to the NFL or transfer out? As far as guys going pro early.....how many did we have from 2004-2008? I can only remember a few during that time. Pierre Paul and Mitchell wouldn't even count.
