Seen lots of "Done Deals" here in the last year.

Villanova upgrade was a done deal.

UCF to Big East was a done deal.

OU and Ok State to the Pac 12 was a done deal.

Mizzou announcing that they were leaving for SEC yesterday was a done deal.

Not saying WVU won't be going eventually......but I will wait for the press conference.

This.

Who in their right minds would join the Big East at this point! There is no way Boise dishes out 20 million to join.

Merging all 3 conferences would be the only logical choice to try to stay AQ.

That would only make sense with WVU, a team that helps what ever conference they are have AQ since they usually end the season ranked. The super conference is probably more about TV rights.

WVU was leaving no matter what but getting a team invited and hiking the exit fee would have been a nice bit of extra cash.

Okay....so according the McMurphy (like him or not he has been on top of all of this) there was a meeting two days ago in DC with all the possible new invitees minus AF. They would like to add BYU.....since WVU is as good as gone, why not just extend invites and get the other schools to talk BYU into joining. That would be a much better league than what we have now.

The BE needs to just go for it and deal with the fact the WVU is gone. Invite the others and try to get BYU....since fball is a no Sunday sport, then their differences with the B12 won't apply here.

GET IT DONE!

Unfortunately the Big East is running out of options. What else can you do?

Agreed. But I like what s/he's saying. Trade BYU for WVU, if WVU really is going. Getting tired of all the "could this" and "could that," though. And, of course, the apparently never-ending BE meetings with invitees, yet no invites.
